The Gracewear Collection’s mission is to be an inspirational lifestyle company with a religious message and purpose. Through selling jewelry including rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, accessories, and charms, the company aims to “encourage women to put on the Full Armor of God through our Shield of Faith Collection.”
Gracewear was started by two sisters – Wendy Strong Lupas and Mary Strong Blackburn – in order to create a strong brand that could support and encourage women to take control of their daily life. Gracewear Collection is a direct-sales position where the independent consultants, or warriors, host parties to sell the jewelry to friends, family, and acquaintances. Their line is mostly geared towards women, but there are a few pieces such as money clips and cufflinks that would appeal to men.
This is a faith-based home business opportunity, and this theme is featured heavily throughout their jewelry pieces and their mission. They wanted their jewelry brand to act as a shield and based their collection on a Bible verse, which “is created to offer HOPE and PROTECTION through the Armor of God.” The two sisters also donated 100% of the profits from the HOPE Key Chain to the HOPE Restoration Project to help “break the chains” on sex trafficking here in the United States.
Compensation
All Gracewear Collection Warriors start off receiving a 20% commission from their first sale. As you sell more products and your personal sales volume increases, you get bumped up to a higher commission level. As with all MLM companies, the more people you recruit to fall under you, the more your earning potential increases as you will receive a percentage of their sales as well. Team leaders can make up to 10% in bonuses, as well as bonuses through the 4th generation downline.
Start-up Costs
To become a Gracewear Warrior, you have to purchase a $99 starter kit with a retail value of $450. The kit includes 12 of their most popular styles and contains various jewelry pieces like necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. You could also choose to purchase a bigger starter pack, The Sword Display Kit, at $149 (retail value $600.) This kit will showcase 16 of their most popular styles. Their most expensive starter kit – The Shield Display Kit – will cost you $249 (retail value $1100) and will include 26 of their most popular styles.
Personal Website
No matter what starter kit you choose, you will receive a personalized website for free. However, after the first month, you will have to pay a $14.95 Warrior Brigade Fee.
Quotas to Maintain Active Status
While the website isn’t clear on whether or not you have to sell a certain level of product to stay active, it does mention that if you sell $1000 lifetime in sales volume and recruit at least one more Warrior who then receives at least $250 or more during a calendar month, you will permanently receive 25% in commission, rather than the initial 20%, the entire time you are active.
Bonus Opportunities
Because they are such a new company, it doesn’t seem like they have a huge bonus system in place. Of course, the more you sell, the more you earn, but it doesn’t look like consultants have the chance to win free trips or earn extra bonuses for a strong start when you first join the company.
Age/Location Restrictions
You must be over the age of 18 to be a Gracewear consultant, but they do accept consultants from all over the nation. Gracewear just recently celebrated their first birthday in October of 2018.
If you are looking for a company that has a strong mission and faith-based message throughout their entire product line, then you should consider Gracewear Collection.
